2 OFWs RETURNING TO NEGROS OCC FROM CEBU WITH DOH CERTIFICATION OF MANDATORY 14-DAY QUARANTINE WERE FOUND POSITIVE OF COVID-19
UPDATE. Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said returning Negrenses to the province will be required of polymerase chain reaction ( PCR) test.
Lacson made the decision after two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who returned to the province were found positive of coronavirus disease ( Covid-19).
The two who are Covid-19 positive included a 38-year old native of Silay City who is from Netherlands while the other one is a 50-year old who is a resident of Candoni who arrived from Finland.
The two arrived from Cebu and were issued certifications by the Department of Health to have finished a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
"We took the gamble of receiving the OFWs so it would be better if we require PCR test before allowing them to return into the province," Lacson explained. | via Teresa D. Ellera
