Josef Enerio Memorial painting tilt
Fiesta celebration in Bohol is unique from the rest of the Philippines because it is rooted even before the induction of the lavish Spanish fiestas.
As the womb of the archipelago’s shamanistic people, they welcome everyone, familiar or new faces, since celebrations are meant both as communion among their kind and as a way of thanksgiving to their “Batha-Allahâ€
This was the theme that the late Josef “Jojo†Enerio had in mind and was in the planning stage way back in October 2003 until his untimely demise in May 2004.
Although 5 years late in the implementation, this year the Jojo Enerio Memorial “Pinta fiesta†shall finally be launched on July 18, birth anniversary of the late Jojo, thru the cooperative efforts and initiative of JCI Sen. John Enerio, younger brother of Jojo; Lucio Enerio-Lim Jr., a close first cousin and colleague of the late Jojo; and JCI Sen. Serge Osmena Valencia, a very close friend and colleague of the late Jojo, when he was one of the JCI Senate Directors of the Philippine JCI Senate when Chairman Serge was JCI Senate National President.
It is also a tribute to all Boholano artists, art lovers and patron of culture and the arts for them to show their talent and be discovered through the medium of the brush in interpreting the Bohol Fiesta!
