Tagbilaran City (24 April) -- SOARING real estate sales following Bohol's meteoric rise to the tip of the tourism pole in the last decade has also brought sob tales from prospective investors intending to own properties here.
And with fly by night property dealers victimizing investors, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Bureau of Trade Regulation and Consumer Protection (BTRCP) has put up the alarm and at the same time announces that nothing beats going for the real legal guys.
For those wanting the license, the DTI said a Real Estate Brokers (REB) Examination is set on May 27, 2007, Sunday, 7:30 am - 12 noon at 3/F Allied Sciences Building, Cebu Normal University, Cebu City
Interested applicants may now file their application at the DTI Bohol Provincial Office where the forms are available.
Examination requirements are as follows: 3 pcs. 1x1 ID picture, original copy of proof of educational attainment, self-addressed envelop with stamp and P250 examination fee.
Deadline for submission of application is Thursday, May 17, 2007.
Meanwhile, review classes are conducted by the private sector specifically the Philippine Realtors Board and the Cebu Realtors Board (CEREB); both based in Cebu City for four (4) Saturdays, starting May 5, 2007.
