Philippine Daily InquirerAfter more than two years, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has finally approved the sale of some sub-transmission assets of the power grid operator of National Transmission Corp. (Transco) to Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. and Bohol 1 Electric Cooperative.
In separate orders issued Aug. 9, the ERC approved Transco’s sale agreements for the 13.8-kilovolt (kV) Tagbilaran-Dauis and Tagbilaran-Cortez lines with Boheco 1 and the 69-kV Davao-Digos line with the Abotizes’ Davao Light.
For the Boheco 1 contract, the approved price was more than P4.2 million. The amount included 20 structures along the 1.31-kilometer Tagbilaran-Dauis line and 127 structures along the 9.79-kilometer Tagbilaran-Cortez lines.
“The purchase price will be the regulatory value of the assets, which should not be adjusted unless investments in its refurbishments or life extension have been made,†the ERC said in its approval of the Transco-Boheco 1 contract.
