PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT PLANS TO IMPLEMENT A PROGRAM ON EARLY DETECTION OF AILMENTS THROUGH COMMUNITY DOCTOR-AND-NURSE TANDEMS COUPLED WITH ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD SYSTEM THAT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER FOR CONSTITUENTS TO AVAIL OF ASSISTANCE IN MEDICAL CHECK-UPS AND HOSPITALIZATION WITHOUT QUEUEING AT THE CAPITOL; AND THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO THE INPUTS FROM FORMER DOH SECRETARY PAULYN JEAN UBIAL WHO PAID A COURTESY CALL TO GOVERNOR ART YAP YESTERDAY
Former Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial yesterday paid a courtesy call to Governor Art Yap and shared notes for the establishment of an effective program on early detection of ailments where the tandems of doctors and nurses will be employed to monitor health conditions of constituents without swamping government hospitals with patients.
Gov. Art Yap also consulted former Health Sec. Ubial on the implementation of an electronic health record system that will pave for a system where the constituents will just have to present an ATM card that already contains the identity of the patient and the assistance available to him from the provincial government.
This way, the constituents needing medical check-up and hospitalization need not go through the hassle of processing their supporting documents just to avail of assistance from the Capitol.
On the other hand, the early detection of ailments and serious diseases by tandems of community doctors and nurses who would monitor the health conditions of the constituents right in their homes and communities will allow medical interventions at an earlier stage. This way, serious illnesses would be cured or, at least, be given attention before they worsen.
