Island City Mall ushers the Yuletide season with Christmas events for the whole month of December, highlighted by the 3-Day Holiday Sale which is still going on today, December 11. Discounts of up to 50% are given away on great selections at the Home & Fashion Department and participating tenant shops.

Tomorrow, December 12, is a “Toy for Joy” Christmas party of more than 183 disabled children at the Activity Center, sponsored by the Alturas Group of Companies, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), The Bohol Chronicle and DYRD.

This coming Saturday, December 17, is the second weekly elimination round of Paskohan sa ICM, a Christmas choral competition sponsored by Sun Cellular. The first weekly elimination round was conducted yesterday, December 10, where Colegio de la Medalla Milagrosa of Jagna, qualifies to the Grand Finals on December 23, Friday, at the Activity Center.

Meet and greet also Santa Claus at the Activity Center from December 19 to 23. The Santa Claus straight from the North Pole can be seen in the following schedules: 1 PM to 3 PM and 5 PM to 7 PM from December 19 to 22; and 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM on December 23.

The mall will also extend its shopping hours until 10 PM on December 22 and 30, and until 11 PM on December 23, in order to accommodate the expected throng of holiday shoppers beating the rush this Yuletide season.

The KISSmas Singing Star of KISS 102.3 FM will take place on December 21, Wednesday, 3 PM at the Activity Center, where the best interpreters of Christmas songs will vie for the top plum.

On Christmas Day, Screenville Cinemas will hold the premiere showing of the official entries of the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival: “Enteng Ng Ina Mo,” “Panday 2,” “Shake Rattle & Roll 13,” and “My Househusband.”

Other scheduled events at the Activity Center are the Power Rangers Mall Tour (December 11), Boy Scout of the Philippines “Talent Quest” (December 14), ALA Boxing at the Mall (December 18), Mascot Show and Scan 2Go (December 23), Bohol Search for Singing Idol (December 25), Calendar Girl 2011 Talent Night (December 29) and Grand Finals (December 30).
