Aumentado from Mr. Jimmy Tan, president of the Philippine and Soong Ching Ling Foundation informing of the arrival of the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation Little Companion Art Troupe in the country and specifically here in the province of
Bohol on January 29 to February 1, 2007 for art performances and cultural exchanges in celebration of the Chinese new year.
In the evening of February 1, there is a tentative schedule for the group to have cultural exchanges with the representatives of the city as well as with the provincial government but this has yet to be confirmed by the hosts. But most definitely the group wishes not only to view a performance but also to have cultural exchanges with the famed and favored Loboc Children's Choir in the morning of February 2, 2008 at the Bohol Children's Palace after experiencing the renowned Loboc River Cruise. Later in the afternoon Mr. Lu Ping the head or chairman of the Chinese cultural troupe of Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation Little Companion Art Troupe will be the Guest of Honor for the unveiling of the Bohol Children's Palace signage. Thereafter the group will be departing back for Manila.
The group led by Mr. Lu Ping, numbering about 53 persons is composed of not only the members of the art troupe but also the directors and staff of Philippine and Soong Ching Ling Foundation and will be staying at the equally famous Bohol Beach Club in Panglao.
