press releaseAs part of its 87th year celebration, China Bank Corporation strengthens its branch banking network in the Visayas region with the opening of its branch in Tagbilaran City, Bohol and the relocation of its Catbalogan City branch in Samar, a company press release said.
The branch in Tagbilaran is China Bank's first in Bohol and the 23rd in Visayas.
"The first ten we opened in 2007 were in proven "strong areas" for China Bank - Davao, Cotabato, and Muntinlupa," said Samuel Chiong, China Bank senior vice president.
He added that Bohol is growing fast over the decade and it continues to have a stable, healthy developing economy. "We are reaching out to new territories, modernizing the look of our branches, and enhancing the way we do business," Chiong added.
China Bank's three year expansion plan, which calls for the opening of 60 new branches and the redesigning of existing ones, was rolled out last year, not only in Visayas but all over the Philippines, the press release said.
