The Mines and Geosciences Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources had requested Governor Erico Aumentado to host delegates from Asia, Europe and the United States in the 44th Annual Session and 50th Steering Committee Meeting of the Inter-Governmental Coordinating Committee for Geosciences Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP) who will be here this Friday for an exposure trip on geologic wonders, tourist and historical attractions.
MGB will be the host agency for the event which runs from October 21-28 in Cebu City wherein more than 80 delegates from various member and donor countries in Asia, Europe and the US are expected to attend.
he field visit to Bohol will cap the annual session, through which MGB will show the delegates an example of a geologic and tourist spot of the country with the province's geologic wonders, and tourist and historical attractions.
The itinerary includes the Loboc River Cruise, Tarsier viewing, and a visit to Baclayon Church, then to the man-made forest in Bilar, Blood Compact Shrine and the world famous Chocolate Hills.
