Pero ang real artist, iyang ipakita kung unsa iyang gituho-an nga sakto, bisan naay ma-igo or masakitan or bisan dili siya makasapi.

So, hina-ut pa unta nga atong tan-awon si Yoyoy isip usa ka artist ug dili Showbiz or Politica.

First of all, this web site is all about friendship & brotherhood, even if our opinion differs... I really appreciate your attitude of standing for Bohol, no matter what...

To my fellow Boholanos, such kind of people are meant to be valued. Like our brothers who were born in the states, they hardly speak Boholano dialect, but if you ask them from where you are, they will proudly answer "Taga Bohol", bisan slang ang pagka sulti. I met several Boholanos who were born in Manila who don't speak any Bisayan language at all, but when I asked them, they loudly replied "taga Bohol man bay".

Yeah, let me share you one story GEC...

One time my relatives from states came for a vacation. they don't know a single visayan word.... after we eat dinner, her husband, who is a pure blood American (caucasian) stood up and said "where is the bhikhow" (biko). He thought every boholano meal is finished with a biko as dessert... Hope you like my story....

This is a good sign that we had influenced the americans.... with biko...

I like the story, Macky. It makes me hungry for biko.

Speaking of which, what Macky and I are discussing, Ghost, is still related to the topic about Yoyoy, as lumine correctly observed...

It's like this:

Accordingly, Yoyoy didn't receive the kind of honor he received because early in his career he concealed the fact he was Boholano.

Somehow, there are Bohol-born Boholanos who are like Yoyoy then that now when they are in another country they are embarassed about their Bohol roots.

On the otherhand, there are foreign-born Boholanos who are mighty proud of their Boholano origin and declare this even with a foreign twang.

And here is this Macky's story of American who asked for a "bhikow" thinking every Boholano meal ends up with this sweet glutinous mixture as desert.

And biko being sticky still sticks seamlessly to the subject on Yoyoy.

Coming back to Yoyoy, I believed that all of us will undergo some weakness & diversions in some parts of our lives. We can not judge a character from one point or a fragment part of his/her life. It has to be a whole from beginning to end.

Kung mo tan-aw ka ug usa ka biography, walay lami ang biography nga flat or puro success na lang. Ang maayong biography kanang dramatic, may rise and fall unya at the end mo rise na pod and then the ending either success or tragedy.

So, I am challenging movie producers to make a tribute film to Yoyoy Villame's colorful life. We have good Boholano directors and actors like Malou Abaya and Cesar Montano.

Yoyoy is a unique person and you will never knew what is behind an artist's mind, like why Vincent Van Ghogh cut his ears to bleed while painting a self portrait, why Jimmy Hendrix burns his guitar, why is a futuristic movie "star wars" has an into of "a long long time ago". So, why did Yoyoy deny that he is a Boholano? There are many reasons why an artist turns bad, but the real reason lies only in thier unique minds....

If in future, kung naay auction sa skull ni anhing Yoyoy, ako ang unang mo bid.... Yoyoy has a unique skull, well rounded on top and wide at the bottom... or sa binisaya pa "dako ug ampapangig".... Just like the shape of "Darth Vader's" head (Star Wars).... maybe that is the reason why his character is like Darth Vader... iyang gi unay ang iyang kaugalingon nga mga tao... but at the end he become a good guy by betraying his master and saving his son's life....

Maybe this is the reason why my mind can not get out of "star wars" due to the shape of Yoyoy's head..... Darth Vader ..... ssshhhh....sssshhhh....
