Bohol Choral Festival at Island City Mall

The Provincial Government of Bohol, through the Center for Culture & Arts Development (CCAD) and Bohol Arts & Cultural Heritage (BACH) Council, will hold the 1st Provincial Choral Festival at the Island City Mall Activity Center, from February 25 to 28.

Be delighted by the harmony of voices as different children and youth choir in Bohol will perform every 4:00 o' clock in the afternoon at the Activity Center in the following schedules: February 25 - Loon South Central Elem. School Children's Choir and Loon Youth Choir; February 26 - Himig Diwa of Holy Name University (HNU), City East Elem. School Children's Choir, and Tagb. City Central Elem. School Children's Choir; February 27 - Batuan Youth Choir, Panglao Children's Choir, and Holy Spirit Choir; and February 28 - UB Grade School Children's Choir, Baclayon Youth Choir, and Garcia-Hernandez Children's Choir.

The first to perform is Loboc Children and Youth Chorale on February 24, but it will be held in another venue as the Activity Center is already booked for the ICM Teen Quest that day.

Yes I had attended the event it was really neat to see the kids performing to olf folk songs and dancing to them as well.
The kids even though some were only one year at it and some were having their firt time exsosure to performing I felt had done a great job!
The mayor of Batuan sat behind me and asked me to go up on stage with her and pose in a picture wth the choir.
The mayor also is the one who supports her choir.
I think every kid should get invlved with something such as this or a drum corp.
You learn disciplin and you have a feeling of your own self worth knowing that what you enjoy will also make other's happy and pleased by all your practice time and efforts.

Loboc childrens choir will be have ing anothe U.S. tour this April good luck guys and enjoy your tour in America!

Loboc Choir to perform this April 15th, at a Manila theatre, and after that they will be heading to U.S.A. for two or more concerts to be performed at the first ever held event called "Encuentas Filipinas" having to go back to early spanish art of the Filipino people.

The invitation is through Riverside university in California and Dartmouth University in New Hampshire.
It is said to be a great asset to have the Loboc choir performing at this first ever event to be held.
Last week I had the good oppurtunity to visit Loboc Choir and speak with Sir Hidolito Taldo Secretary of Loboc Mayor and his wife Mam Alma Taldo about the groups preperation in going to perform in America after hearing it first from their son who was is an X choir member working now in Manila.
Rey Chuia from PIA was also on sight doing documentation of Passports and their visa's for the groupd departure this coming April.
