THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT of Bohol’s (PGBh) InSPIRED HEAT IT Bohol Caravan in Tubigon “stirred up” residents as it brought development initiatives closer to the people.

Tubignons, led by Mayor Wiiliam Jao and Vice-Mayor Billy Fortich, could not contain their excitement several days prior to the actual visitation in preparing the venue, putting up the necessary temporary structures to house participating agencies and with great anticipation, eagerly waited for the THE day when they again would see and meet with PGBh officials led by Gov. Edgar M. Chatto, Cong. Rene L. Relampagos, Cong. Art Yap, Executive Assistant “Tatay Billy” Tongco, Provincial Administrator Alfonso Damalerio II, Board Member Ricky Masamayor, other PGBh officials, staff, national government agencies, private sector and other organizations in bringing in all kinds of services to residents.

Mayor Jao, Vice-Mayor Fortich and LGU officials welcomed everyone with wide open arms, glad that at last, Tubigon, despite being considered a “well-off” town, is now enjoying the services of this widely-known activity, the brainchild of Gov. Chatto.

Aside from the usual services, which started with a film showing the night before and a Holy Mass early the following morning, activities also included the release of financial assistance from the PGBh to LGU Tubigon and barangay aid to its 34 barangays; release of Governor’s burial assistance to its beneficiary; distribution of land titles c/o the Registry of Deeds (ROD) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR); turnover of assistive devices c/o the Office of the Provincial Welfare and Development (OPSWD); turnover of nutrition assessment tools to barangay captains and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) c/o the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA); turnover of one unit hand garden cultivator to Villanueva Planters Association c/o OPA and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR); turnover of feeds and fingerlings to Tubigon Fisherfolks c/o OPA and BFAR; turnover of corn seeds, rice seeds c/o OPA; the ceremonial distribution of hybrid coconut seedlings c/o PCA and OPA; turnover of books from the Provincial Library to Cawayanan High School, Tubigon West Central High School, Tubigon West National High School,  and Bagongbanwa National High School. Tropang Gising, Gov. Chatto’s own close-in staff, with the cooperation of Balilihan Mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto, also put up their own tent and offered free appliances and gadgets repair, sharpening of knives, nippers etc., free haircut and massage, among others.
