The USAID last week signed a grant agreement with the Bohol Alliance of Non-Government Organizations (BANGON) for the implementation of a project that intends to establish family planning, and maternal and child health programs in target workplaces and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Bohol.
USAID Mission Director Jon Lindborg and representatives of grantees led by BANGON Executive Director Glenn Labrado and PRISM Project Field Implementation Coordinator Primitivo Fostanes signed the grant agreement on April 19 at the Alona Kew Resort in Tiwala, Panglao.
The PRISM Project is entitled "Installation of Family Welfare and Responsible Parenthood Programs in Major Companies, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Cooperatives in Bohol Province."
BANGON will implement the project for the benefit of employees and members of target cooperatives.
Emma Magsino, the regional operations director of the Visayas PRISM, takes charge of the workplace project, the Visayas Partners and Direction.
An inter-agency support agreement for workplace initiatives on FP/MCH was also forged among the regional director of DOLE, OHNAP-Cebu Chapter president Jun Villaluna for the accreditation of OHNAP as workplace training support partner, and National Nutrition Council Regional Director Parolita Mission for the three-point agenda on nutrition program in the workplace.
