A seven-man Australian Political Exchange Council delegation is in Bohol to strengthen relations between Australia and the host country thru APEC's international exchange program with the Philippine Council of Young Political Leaders (PCYPL).
APEC has been active in wide-ranging political exchanges enhancing Australia's cooperation with nations like the Philippines, United States, Japan, Germany, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Korea and China.
The visiting foreign officials led by South Australian House of Assembly Speaker Jack Snelling was met by a Bohol group led by PCYPL national president and Bohol - First District Rep. Edgar Chatto in their arrival here yesterday morning.
Their visit can create new momentum in the local economy, cultural tourism promotion, effective governance and political dynamism.
Gov. Erico Aumentado, Provincial Board Member Alfonso Damalerio II, Bohol president of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL), and Tagbilaran City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Veloso, Bohol president of the Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines (VMLP), joined Chatto in a launch welcoming the APEC party.
Snelling and company will get sharp focus of the province's development gains and projection, including the degree of tourism in this part of the globe, in a powerpoint presentation at the Bee Farm Conference Room in Dauis this morning.
