Bohol Cong. Edgar Chatto attends the meeting of the Abatan River Development Management Council (ADRMC) presided by Balilihan Mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto.

The ADRMC is comprised of the municipalities of Catigbian, Balilihan, Antequera, Cortes, and Maribojoc.

The council has revised the Abatan River Code and is planning to establish Abatan as a cultural hub in addition to the Abatan River Community Life Tour and Nature Experience.

They holding of Hudyaka sa Abatan on July 22-26 will showcase cultural collectives of member towns of the council.

Cong. Chatto provided inputs on how the council was established and resources that put up the existing facilities.

Gov. Art Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos expresses support for Abatan to become a prime alternative tour stop to complement the popular circuit.

Prime movers of the culture and arts led by Gardy Labad and Culture and Arts Development head Romy Tagaan also presented proposal for programs and activities to strengthen culture and arts as an important aspect of Bohol eco-tourism.
