Will Venus Raj bring home the title?

Straight from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, the spectacular two-hour Miss Universe 2010 will be aired on Velvet via an exclusive double primetime telecast on August 24, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Home to the most beautiful night in the univese three years running, Velvet now rolls out the red carpet for our very own Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Maria Venus Raj, who joins women from around the globe to compete for the most coveted crown and title.

A resident of Camarines Sur, Raj began her climb to fame after winning Miss Bicolandia 2007. Later on, she was crowned Miss Philippines Earth Eco Tourism 2008. With a roaring fan base and her momentum after the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, Venus now carries our banner to a whole new level. Will she be the third Filipina to be crowned Miss Universe after 27 years?

Apart from her highly controversial dethronement and eventual reinstatement, Raj is now faced with a bigger challenge of ending the 11-year drought for the country in the beauty competition. It can be recalled that the last time a Filipino made it to the semifinals was in 1999 when Miriam Quiambao was ranked first runner-up.

This early, Raj is surprising the global community as she presently leads the online popularity polls on the official website of Miss Universe. Among the 83 Miss Universe candidates, she now has a rating of 3.58 followed by Miss Brazil Debora Lyra, 2.83; Miss Colombia Natalia Navarro, 2.77; Miss Venezuela Marelisa Gibson, 2.77; and Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete with 2.76.

The pageant will also be aired on ABS-CBN via satellite on August 24 (Tuesday) at 9:30 a.m. and on Studio 23.

i admired this lady bisan sa iyang ka pobre naninguha jud nga mo asinso.nakita naman nato kapila ipakita sa TV ang ilang payag ang atop kogon ug sasa nga kawayan lipak ang sawog sa tilwa sa kabasakan.pero she is very proud sa ilang payag ug dis a sya nag puyo mao nga sa diha gikuha ang iyaha korona makahiubos sa sama natong mga pobre kagikan.naka tabang kono niya ang pag lakaw sa pilapil kada adlaw nga nakahimong pagsalig sa iyang kaugalingon.Good Luck VENUS bring home the crown after 35yrs.God Bless You

basin si Uranos to nakita nimo  nga naa brace. nakita man lagi nako sa airport when she left gi interview sya wala man brace. she is no. 1 in internet voting mao nga may chance sya makadaog.gi inteview pa nanay sa airport sa channel 7 nga nag hatud nya  nga di sya maka tan aw personal  kay kabus lang kono sila dili sila maka afford sa pamasahe.
