It's No Surprise
Philippine Concert Queen Pops Fernandez and former Gwapings member Jomari Yllana has finally called it quits after several years of dating. As in hiwalay na sila. Pops is the former wife of balladeer Martin Nievera. It was confirmed on the showbiz talk show, The Buzz, the couple's close friend Ruffa Gutierrez.

Pops and Jomari have not yet commented on the issue, but it seems that the rumor is true. Jomari is neither confirming nor denying it, probably wishing to patch things up?

But really, the news did not come as a surprise to me. I mean, come on, do you really think that this relationship between the older Pops and the younger Jomari was for keeps? For all we know, it was just a libidinous attempt on Pops' part to attempt to make herself look "saleable" in the eyes of the people. After being dumped by Martin for another woman, it is no wonder that Pops wanted revenge. She transformed herself into a vamp, complete with all the physical enhancements allowed on her body.

It can be remembered that Pops also went out with model Brad Turvey and after their relationship ended, she took on Jomari Yllana.

Well, I guess we cannot really judge these kinds of affairs. After all, Eula did marry her younger beau. But as for Pops, I dunno. She used to be a level-headed, family loving woman. She used to talk about how happy her marriage was with Martin, how they keep it alive and growing, and how they have grown as a family. But somehow along the way, Martin got tempted and got involved with another woman.

Pops could have gotten up on a different note. But instead, she chose the path where she had relationships with younger men. I dunno how it could have salvaged her image and her self-esteem, but that is what she did. Her choices were questionable. But there is no question that she is a very good performer.

So for me, it is no wonder that her relationship with Jomari has ended. It was just a matter of when, like a bomb waiting to explode.

I hope she will find a nice gentleman who is willing to be her lifetime partner.

MANILA, Philippines—Singer actress Pops Fernandez and boyfriend Jomari Yllana have decided to separate, the actor-producer confirmed.

In a text message to the Inquirer, Yllana cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the break-up, which he announced nearly a month after he produced a successful reunion concert of Fernandez and her ex-husband Martin Nievera at the Araneta Coliseum.

“We broke up a few days ago,” Yllana said in his message. “We have differences that are irreconcilable. We share the same sentiments that we couldn’t get along anymore.”

But despite the end of their romance, “we parted ways in good terms,” he said.

Yllana had earlier planned a US tour of the Pops-Martin concert “Missing You.”

Pops Fernandez and Jomari Yllana: It’s sad and ugly if money is indeed the cause.

It’s confirmed: Pops Fernandez and Jomari Yllana have broken up.

“No,” said somebody close to the couple. “There was no third party. The culprit was money.”

Money?

Since the Funfare informer politely refused to elaborate, we can only speculate where the money issue came in.

Pops has just starred with her ex-husband Martin Nievera in their reunion concert Missing You early last month at the Araneta Coliseum and it was Jomari who produced it under Fearless Productions (which he co-manages with friends Ronald and Ryan Singson). Was there an “issue” as far as Pops’ talent fee was concerned?

It’s not only sad but ugly if indeed money was the cause of the break-up of the couple’s barely two-year romance.

naa jud ko na open nga blog named ABOUT GOOD TIMES MANILA
and funny au ang gi suwat about the break-up nila pops and jomari.
ang reason daw (it was a joke-obviously) kay:
nanglaag daw sila pops and jomari sa usa ka petshop. si pops namili
ug mga pets while si jomari was talking outside with his manager, douglas quijano.
nalingian ni pops nga sige pangatawa ang duha while looking at her.
when she asked jomari later about it, di mutug-an si jomari.
but since, babae lagi, di musugot dili tug-anan (unya masuko if tug-anan hahaha)
so jomari told her nga miingon si douglas nga he needed a janitor fish for his aquarium
and jomari replied that in their house, they don't need one
and they had a fit of laughter because of that.
obviously referring to pops because she looked
like a janitor fish daw because of her lips.
hehehehe.
that was a joke, but i thought at first that it wasn't until i've read the rest of his blog.
funny guy.

There were pictures taken in Bataan which prove that both of them were in the same group of friends, including one particular photo where Yllana is seen leaning towards Maui, with his nose just inches from the sexy actress's hair.

In an interview with SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon on Thursday, Taylor said they never intended to meet in Bataan, claiming that her group came first before Yllana's. “Actually I asked him nga kung what happened. Ayaw naman niya mag elaborate. So let’s leave it at that na lang.

She said that Yllana was evasive when she asked him about the reason for the break-up, but he later told her that he and Pops "just don't get along anymore."

Taylor also denied allegations that she was the reason for the breakup. “Oh, my God, please, for the record, hindi po ako ang third party. Yung itsura kong ito, I know hindi ako yung type ni Joms,” Taylor said

napakabata pa ni jomari kumpara kang pops.
parang aunt na niya si pops.
