The Philippine Medical Association (PMA) is appreciative of the assistance of media and the public in the drive to ferret out misfits in the medical profession. Thank God the number of such misfits is miniscule!
The high and the mighty and many other sectors of society condemned Dr. Hayden Kho after his amorous adventures in the electronic media were exposed, even though the circumstances of his case have yet to be clarified. In such scenario, when a chorus of stentorian voices cry “crucify him,†heaven warns that before casting a stone, one should temper passion and prejudice and let wisdom, reason and objectivity prevail.
The PMA’s Commission on Ethics adopts the adage that even the condemned deserves justice. Dr. Kho was invited to have his “day in court†and the ethical case against him will be subjected to due process.
