The Miss Earth beauty pageant began seven years ago, when Carousel Productions, Inc. of the Philippines failed to get the rights to produce the Miss Asia-Pacific pageant.
From its humble beginnings, the Miss Earth pageant is now one of the top four beauty pageants in the world (according to GlobalBeauties.com) , the rest being the Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International competitions.
This is a best example of power of positive thinking.
When somebody turned your idea down, don’t give up and move on.
Consider the first turn down as one opinion and move on for more opinion. Don’t give up until the whole world tells you have a bad idea.
If nobody buys your idea now, just keep it for future opportunity. Nobody knows tomorrow.
Another example is the YouTube. During their infancy stage, uploading / downloading a video clip is time consuming and there were many critics. But now, look at the millions of clips being uploaded /exchanged worldwide.
The lesson is, don’t limit your ideas to present technology or present situation. Again nobody knows tomorrow.
