Sharkey on threat to live musicCampaigners from the music industry say licences are preventing musicians and publicans from making a decent living, and government inaction is putting the future of the live music scene in jeopardy.
Former lead singer of the Undertones Feargal Sharkey, and the Culture and Licensing Minister Gerry Sutcliffe gave their views on the row over the licences after a montage featuring Tony Blair on guitar, David Blunkett on drums, Lembit Opik playing harmonica, Ed Balls on drums, Feargal Sharkey singing Teenage Kick and Andy Burnham playing guitar.
