At the first day of school, we were taught already how to speak English so this shouldn't be an issue. Except for Pilipino subject, everything is in English - textbooks, test/exams, etc. If we restrict that the questions be asked only in Tagalog, this may be a problem because for one, there are judges who does not speak Tagalog. However, to address this issue, the contestants should have the option to answer the question in Tagalog, which, to my understanding is allowed. Also, the contestants, should have the option too to ask that the question be translated or interpreted in Tagalog, if that can make the contestants better understand the questions.
The question that was asked by the contestant, more specifically contestant #15 was very simple. I think she could well answer that question if not under pressure. Her nerve got in her way, so to speak.
