MANILA, Philippines- After more than 35 years of absence in the movie scene, the feisty Annabel Rama felt at ease after the first shooting day of her newest comedy film, “My Monster Mom."

“ Nagulat nga ako yung mga dialog ko sa bahay nasa script eh. Kaya nga medyo kumportable ako sa mga dialog dahil ako talaga yun(I was surprised to find my own dialogues at home in the script. I became comfortable with the dialog because it really reflects who I am)," Annabel told Chika Minute reporter Aubrey Carampel.
Ruffa Gutierrez will star with Annabel in the movie directed by award-winning Jose Javier Reyes and produced by Regal films matriarch Lily Monteverde.
Annabel earlier said she accepted Mother Lily’s offer because she wanted to renovate an old house which her son, Richard, bought them.
Meanwhile, Ruffa is optimistic that her mother’s acting will keep improving in the following days.
“From a scale of 1 to 10, bibigyan ko siya ng 8 (I’ll give her an

. I think in the coming days, mag-iimprove pa siya kasi parang true-to-life eh(she’ll improve because it seems so true-to-life)," Ruffa candidly said.
“Lumalabas talaga yung acting niya ‘pag sinasabi kong ‘Ma, kunwari ako yung sinisigawan mo(Her acting really comes out when I say ‘ Ma, pretend you’re angry at me’),’" she added.
Meanwhile, the sharped-tongued Annabel was quick to say that she is serious in her acting.
“’Di ko nga ginagawang comedy. Ewan ko, natatawa sila sa akin ‘pag ako nagsasalita. ‘Di ko alam kung bakit (I’m not even trying to do comedy. I don’t know, when I speak, they laugh. I don’t really know why)," she said. - GMANews.TV
