As many commodity owners are looking for tanks to store their crude, refined products, chemicals and gasses, two industry veterans launched their boutique advisory firm, Acretio. The consulting group pulls from a pool of experienced industry players, with a proven track record in the global midstream and logistics industries. They expect to merge key lessons learned and proven practices from their tenure in the industry.

The firm will initially focus its efforts on helping producers, traders, importers, distributors and terminal operators to evaluate, transact or grow their business.
“We expect even more focus on regional trade flows in the Americas,” says Martijn van Koolwijk, who left Oiltanking in 2012 to run a specialized Oil and Gas fabrication company, “ as some of the trade flow previously bound for the far East could be looking for a closer home in Latin American markets”. The increased imports in several Latin American countries have historically bumped up against infrastructure restrictions, addressing those will take between 2 to 3 years which can be in time for a new growth period.
