TooSweet, born and raised in San Diego/Oceanside, California, began her career in music when she was very young. Showing off her singing abilities in her church choir, Coreen Lafayetta Selmon began her rapid ascent into the world of music and is now considered an “Indie on the Move”. Finally being recognized in the industry in 2014 with the release of her first EP Love/Hate, she has shown no signs of slowing down as she aspires to take over the music scene.

Taking her inspiration from many artists and genres of music, TooSweet captivates her audience with her unique style and combination of rap, R&B, and Reggae. Her music was featured in 2015 on six coast-to-coast and Thisis50 Mixed Tapes along with musical legends the likes of none other than Beyonce’, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Trina, Da Brat, and Dej Loaf. Further demonstrating her musical talent, TooSweet was awarded The Akademia Music Award for the Best R&B Song in 2016 for her single “Grown Woman (Anthem)”.Her father, Andre Selmon, has been instrumental in TooSweet’s rise to stardom which has occurred at a breakneck speed.

Earlier in 2020, TooSweet shared her individual style on the stage in Uganda, electrifying the crowds with her strong voice and powerful vocal ability.

Taking her songwriting to the next level, TooSweet’s new song “Murda, Murda” will premiere in the upcoming movie “Snow Black” set to release in 2020. The film was directed by Robert D. Parham and supports an amazing cast including Gloria Hendry, known for her role as Rosie Carver in the James Bond film Live and Let Die, starring as Aunt Sydney and martial arts legend, Ron “The Black Dragon” Van Clief starring as Jerrod Camden.
