When one is categorically attacking gender, sexual orientation, isnt it an indication of a personal or class attack?

When one is provoking a personal attack.  These remarks " I do not stoop down to your level"

If you are being pointed out  with your grammatical errors, is it a personal attack? or is it just so that your pride is affected?

These political attack on Filipinas in Japan and Germany, " Germanyuki or Japayuki"

Admins were even not able to notice this.

There will always be clash of personalities here.  If I am being attacked, I  will attack back and I dont care.

If they slap me on the right side, they will lose their heads.

If they throw stones on me, I would throw a bomb back.

So do not provoke me.

I never did provoke anyone here.

I would like to suggest, not to use side comments, like, " this is funny, this is a joke". My side comments are harsher.

Has one of you, admins, even noticed how Datu Dagohoy categorically commited a gender, class attack?


No one seems to point that out, either.

We should all be respecful to other peoples sexual preference, gender, politics and the lot despite different points of views.

However,  one should ultimatley evade in pursuing personal and degrading attacks on other people's character. Be mindful of what you say, as it can hurt other people's feelings. Sensitivity, and humility should always be in primacy.

We need to define what is a personal or a class attack.

It must be clear within our rules, because if we leave it up to the wisdom of the Admins, there would be a danger of an authoritarian rule.

when a post ends with a sour or heavy or bitter note, i feel it is the "beginning" of a personal attack...words don't just matter; it's the "soul" of one's composing of words.

This " Personal Attack" must have guidelines.  If not, it will give Admins a blanket authority to decide on it which in effect authoritarian in nature.

Personal attack - when the postings focused on the poster and not the subject being discussed.

I'm totally out of the loop here. Has Arlene Karaan signed up to TB? There should be a way to flag statements that are potentially offensive, derogatory, defamatory, false, etc. and a quorum of admins can decide and act on them.

Rules of moderators are to moderate tensions and I believe Dabinsi is doing just fine. I have seen in many cases that conflicts & personal attacks were subdued by simple laughter from Dabinsi and other peace loving TB members. It does'nt mean a moderator is a fault finder. To delete unjust posts is only the last option, after knowing the character of the person, communications and thoroughly weighing the case. I believe ethics should be on the top slot of every moderator's priority. Second should be to protect the interest, objectives and integrity of this beautiful site.

Everyone, member or moderators can be biased to his/her own belief. The only difference is moderators were given special responsibilities and tasks.

This is only my observation.

Sir Macky, Do you agree that moderators in a forum engage in a debate and then if they dont like the opponents post, they have the liberty to modify it, delete or block the topic without you saying the last words?

i have come up with some constructive ways in how to use TB it can be ussed for many things such as workshops for improving weaknesses and how to strengthen weaknesses into positives.

Being able to accept faults if brought to your attention in a tactifull way and maybe take it is a corrective critism.

An opinion is a right of a person and to edit ones opinion is not good unless that person giving the opinion has given prior permission.

Bloke was edited out of my title it means respect in English language for a man.

But later on one of his freinds also said Bloke from England was his reply edited?

I am a columnist I know what the rules are when it ccomes to meddling in ones opinion.
My assistant ediitor is good at adding his two cents about how good looking and smart he is inside of my columns and by the time the newspaper was printed and I had seen it I was so mad and embarressed.

The opinions of you may not be the opinions of others we are unique and we are not cloned as if by having push button personalities all on the same wave length especailly during events or things that are sad or things that happen that are a tragedy.

I am glad Mike did away with rating persons in here before what a popularity contest that was.

People in here would say three words to a reply or even a ha ha ha and people would applaud them.

others would deliver meaning full words and take the time and never geta applauded.

I think contests such as Mr. and Mrs. TB are also underminding now thats my opinion.

I am curious to see how many of you plan on visiting Bohol on Summer break I have met just a few of you from inside Tubag Bohol and those I have met seem pretty darn sweet to me.
