The departure of the Nigerian squad for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa was delayed today due to a technical hitch on their plane. The Super Eagles were supposed to leave from their training camp in the south of England to South Africa yesterday.
The Nigerian players are still at Stansted Airport after their aircraft developed unspecified technical problems. Meanwhile, the Nigerian government today announced that it a new aircraft will now take the team to South Africa. The new plane will fly in from Paris. Nigeria are drawn in Group B along with Argentina, Greece and South Korea.
