BREAKING NEWS: REP. JOCELYN TULFO SEEKS UNANIMOUS HOUSE NOMINATION OF SUSAN ROCES FOR ORDER OF NATIONAL ARTIST
ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Jocelyn Pua Tulfo has just filed her proposed House Resolution 2584 urging the House of Representatives to unanimously nominate the late Susan Roces to posthumously join the Order of National Artists.
Tulfo’s proposed resolution expresses “the deep sense of appreciation of the House of Representatives for the immense contribution of Susan Roces to Philippine arts and culture and the development of the entertainment industry.”
HR 2584 notes that Susan Roces is “regarded as the "Queen of Philippine Movies", having starred in more than 130 films, reigning alongside her husband the “King of Philippine Movies” National Artist Fernando Poe, Jr.”
