Marry someone of another culture?
That is a very hard question, i must admit, and I guess it would depend on the character of the woman, one that would be compatible with me, you know? People of other races and cultures are interesting and beautiful in their own regard, and I wont deny that I've dated girls that were of a different background. Experiences have been varied, so to say. However, when it comes to marriage (this is my own personal opinion) one is expected to last the long haul--to be there for one another through thick or thin, through the good days as well as the bad, to be there for one another and support each other and provide the proper foundation for the raising of children, which I believe culminates a union. Marriage, to me, is sacred, a union of two souls, under the presence of God--to be there for one another in our earthly existence--to be loyal to one another UNTIL death parts them.
I'll tell you about myself, I'm a conservative man, a traditionalist so to say. Though I'm open minded, I maintain a solid rock in the teachings of what my mother and father have infused in me---a strong Catholic, Filipino, Bisayan, Boholano identity. I would like to retain that identity and pass that on to my children--and that is why when it comes to marriage, I am strictly looking to find a Filipina future-Mrs. Bran Lorenzo Lucino (hopefully a boholana or bisayan). I want my children to learn the bisayan language, to understand our culture, respect it, appreciate it and pass it on to their own families in the future. There is no woman out there---as beautiful and lovely as a Filipina, especially a Boholana woman.
Also, all those in here who are married to foreign men, there is nothing wrong with that. So long as you're happy and content---and what counts most of all...that you're in love and being loved, diba?. Your spouses are very lucky because they married beautiful souls as yourselves! Be happy, and live happy.
