When To Get Married: Married Tax Penalty
« on: February 21, 2010, 02:54:43 PM »
U.S. Taxation Law:

If one of you has much less income than the other, consider getting married in December rather than January. You will generally be taxed less on the same income if you are married filing jointly than you would be if each of you filed single returns. If both of you have similar levels of income, choose January. Marriage partners who earn approximately the same income may pay more tax if they file a joint return or file separate married returns than they would if they could file two single returns. This is known as "the marriage tax penalty."

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
