Bride who attempts suicide rescued

DRESSED in her wedding gown, a 22-year-old woman in Jilin province, China tried to end her life recently by jumping off a building, but was saved in the nick of time.

Guo Zhongfan, a community officer, grabbed and pulled her dangling body back into the seven-storey residential building in Changchun, in a nail-baiting rescue witnessed by many.

According to local media, the woman attempted to commit suicide after her boyfriend of four years broke up with her, just as they were making plans to get married.

The woman did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

seriously, we can imagine the depths of despair this 22-year-old had gone into. being jilted is bad enough, but a jilted bride-to-be with a ready wedding gown? it set me asking whether she had the emotional and psychological support of her family and friends, if at all they knew what she was going through. for all i know, all she needed was a listening ear and some assurances that the guy who jilted her too late into the relationship isn't worth it. truly, a cad who is careless and irresponsible about commitments isn't worth it.

hehe, ambot ngano. at 22, i was fighting for a career. wa gyod tawoy laki sa akong kinabuhi anang edara. they were strange creatures, one of whom had said, "di ta anang babayhana, makatunok sa kaniwang." di sad ko nila uy, tsura lang. good decision. i did not turn out a jilted bride, tah-tah.
