Press Release: 2nd MARINE BRIGADE CHANGE OF COMMAND
10 July 2021, the 2nd Marine Brigade conducted Change of Command ceremony for the assumption of COL ROMEO T RACADIO PN(M)(GSC) as the 29th Marine Brigade Commander and for the outgoing BGEN ARTURO G ROJAS PN(M). The ceremony was held at H2MBde MBDD, Brgy Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi which was presided by MGEN ARIEL R CACULITAN PN(M) Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The event was attended and witnessed by LTGEN CORLETO S VINLUAN PA Commander, Western Mindanao Command and party, RADM TORIBIO D ADACI PN Commander, Naval Forces Western Command, and units under JTF and NTG Tawi-Tawi. Also in attendance was the Governor of Tawi-Tawi Hon. Yshmael I. Sali Al-haj as the special guest, Vice Governor Michae K Ahaja, Municipal Mayors, members of the Inter-Agency Task Force Tawi-Tawi, other security sectors, partners from the academe, business sector and friends.
In his speech, COL RACADIO pointed out that “open-mindedness and collaborative team work with servant-strong leadership at all levels, we shall then achieve the perfect tempo of our preferred face. Through this kind of environment, the Brigade will become conducive in perfecting ideas that are deliberately forged together with our partner-stakeholders as nobody has the monopoly of knowledge, more so in the case of stability and contingency operations, cross border protection, conflict resolution and in sustaining peace and order and development in this progressive and promising province, the last south-western frontier”.
And in his closing word, “Let me inspire you more with this faithful saying, “when we pray, God hears more than we say, answers more than we ask, gives more than we imagine, in his own time and in his own way. No matter how long it takes, when God works, it is always worth the wait. Keep the faith.” said COL RACADIO.
