Cebu Pacific expands Bohol-Panglao route network
15 December 2018 – Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the leading carrier in the Philippines, begins commercial operation of its daily flight between its hub at the Clark International Airport in Pampanga and the Bohol-Panglao International Airport. The route is expected to stimulate domestic tourism between the Visayas, Central Luzon and Northern Luzon; as well as provide support for the growing Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism sub-industry.
The daily Flight 5J 613, bound for Tagbilaran (Panglao), is scheduled to depart Clark at 955am and arrive at 1120am. The return flight, 5J 614, is set to depart Bohol at 1150am, and arrive Clark at 115pm. The flights are operated out of the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
“We are excited to commence operation of our newest route in Bohol. As we expand our fleet and our route network, we look forward to supporting economic growth in the province of Bohol through tourism and logistics support,” said Dindo Fernando, Director for Airport Services at Cebu Pacific.
“As a native Boholanon, I am proud to be part of a team that has contributed and will continue to be a part of the development of our province. We offer Boholanons an alternative option to visit the wonderful attractions in Central and Northern Philippines that once had been a challenge for many of us to do.”
CEB has been mounting flights to and from Bohol—initially from the Tagbilaran Airport--since 2004. Over the past 18 years, Cebu Pacific, together with subsidiary Cebgo, has flown close to three million passengers across thousands of flights to and from Manila, Cagayan de Oro (Laguindingan) and Davao.
Cebu Pacific has maintained leadership in the domestic market—having flown over 11.1 million passengers across 37 destinations, 76 routes and over 2,130 weekly flights from January to September 2018.
CEB also flies to 26 international destinations, with over 32 routes spanning Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and USA. Aside from its Clark hub, Cebu Pacific operates flights out of five other strategically placed hubs in the Philippines: Manila, Kalibo, Iloilo, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro (Laguindingan) and Davao.
