Two people were shot dead and four injured when a gunman opened fire early Sunday on a discotheque in the northern French town of Lille, police and local officials said.
A man “known to the police†who had been thrown out of the Theatro disco returned with a heavy weapon and opened fire from outside the establishment, a local official said. A cloakroom attendant and a customer were killed.
Police said they were looking for the man, who appeared to have acted alone. - AP
