Established in 1911, the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law nurtured some of the country’s most influential legal luminaries including Presidents, Supreme Court justices, and prominent politicians. Its alumni continue to hold prominent positions in the legal community, business, and civil society.
In 2011, the college's 100th anniversary, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued a 100-Piso New Design Series banknote with an overprint of the UP College of Law on the obverse side of the note. The note features President Manuel A. Roxas, an alumnus of the institution who served as the last President of the Commonwealth and the first President of the new Republic after World War II.
