The University of Bohol will once again have a big event for this school year's UB Days and Intramurals.

Ruth B. Cahulogan, president of the UB Student Supreme Government, has released the schedule of activities for information dissemination.

For the events, various committees have been organized, which is considered the biggest campus event in the province.

A kick-off parade is set on Friday, September 14, at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and the grand opening will follow at the UB quadrangle where a cheering squad competition will also be conducted.

On September 15-18, student athletes will compete in various athletic events at the CPG Sports Complex. At 7 o'clock in the evening of September 15 is "A Night of Music" at the UB quadrangle where contests for guitar plucking and choral singing will be held.

The "Battle of the Bands" which is one of the most awaited events by the students, will be held at the UB quadrangle at 7 o'clock in the evening of September 17, while the presentation of talents, "The Talent Search", to be participated by the contestants for the Mr. & Miss UB Personality 2007 will be conducted in the evening of September 18.
          

UB Days is not only for fun but also an opportunity for students to render community service. An "Alay Linis para sa Tagbilaran" , a street clean-up drive along the Ma. Clara Street stretch will be conducted on September 19, starting in the morning.

In the afternoon will be the "Search for UB's Singing Stars", a contest for vocal solo and vocal duet at the UB gym, while in the evening is the "Dance Showdown" for dance attack and dance sports at the UB gym.

A series of contests for general information, spelling, extemporaneous speaking and Text Twist, dubbed as the "Battle of the Brains" will be conducted in the morning at different venues within the university on September 20.

In the evening is the much anticipated - Search for Mr. and Miss UB Personality 2007 at the UB quadrangle. This event is considered as the most prestigious campus personality contest in Bohol.

The floral parade will start at one thirty o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, September 21, after which a Salute to the Champions at the UB quadrangle will be held for the awarding of prizes and trophies, more fun and surprises, and fireworks display.

On the same night is the Alumni Night and Diamond Jubilee Culmination Program which will showcase songs and dances from the 50's to the 2000's. Teachers and staff of the different departments of the University will present different production numbers. (Leah Tirol-Magno)
