The University of Bohol (UB) used to be called the Rafael Palma College (RPC), named after a great Filipino scholar of his time. It was established in 1946 after the WWII. It reached university status in 1970. Today, UB is gearing up for accreditation from PAASCU.

Remember the tagline, "Where students today, leaders tomorrow?" Mao na ang UB.

Pareho ta Swaks, working student. Night High School man ko sa UB. From 5:30 to 9:30 akong klase daily. Magbaklay tawon mi pauli. Pagpauli mag study dayon kay during day time mag tabang man ko sa pagluto sa akong lola kay naa man toy carinderia unya walay time mag study during day time.

Thanks a lot, Ms. Melrose! There was no other way to get college education then on my part but to strive hard. At that time it was ambitious to even dream of going to school but I persevere. I didn't think it was that difficult then because each day when I go to school, I had the end in my mind that I would finish high school and then move on to college and have a decent job so I could support my family especially so I could send my younger siblings to school. To change the course of my family's life - that was my drive.

I appreciate that you acknowledged your Mom's hard work so you many not experience what she went through. I, myself, sent my sisters' to school and I was glad they valued as well our hard work for them by doing good in school.

Ako sa una, bisan working student ko sa high school sa akong mga lola ug lolo, di pa jud matunong ang tuition fees busa permanent visitor nako ni Tirol sa iyang office sa una to ask for permit to take exam bisan wa kabayad. Very stressful kaayo akong pag eskwela but nahuman ra man pod intawon.

UB pod ko. Di na lang nako isulti ug kanus-ang year kay ing non unya ko ninyo nga tiguwang na. Schoolmate ko si Atty. Lagunay sa una. Sa School of Arts and Science sija ug ako pod sa College of Civil Engineering. Maayong laki ni siya. Kanunay god ko kapildi sa forensics. Labi na jod sa oratorical and expetempraneous speaking, hawod ni siya way makapildi. Sa Mathematics ko lang siya napildi kay wa man siya moapil. LOL
