'GIVE ME P100 BILLION, I WILL SOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS OF BASIC EDUCATION'
Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte vowed on Wednesday to resolve all the country's basic education problems if DepEd receives an additional P100 billion for its 2023 budget.
"If you give me—give us—the people here sitting in front of you P100 billion, we will be able to solve the problem in six years," she said.
Duterte added that they also appealed to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. regarding the agency's budget so that they could open more programs that would help address the learning needs of the students.
