BOHOL WISDOM SCHOOL WINS UNIV OF THE PHILS-KADUGONG BOL-ANON’S 18TH GREAT HIGH SCHOOL DEBATE 2007


Part of the activity of the weeklong ACADFEST 2007 of the University of the Philippines â€" Kadugong Bol-anon (UPKB) is the 18th Great High School Debate sponsored by the UPKB-Diliman Chapter. For years, this debate has served as a good training ground for young Boholano debaters to speak out their stands on particular significant issues.

This year, it was conducted last Thursday, 25th of October 2007 at the Activity Center of the Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.   

Winners:

> First Place â€" Bohol Wisdom School

> Second Place â€" Bohol International Learning Center

> Third Place â€" Holy Spirit School

Judges:

- Mairi Mahal Morales Nunag â€" Tanedo
- Michael ‘Kit’ Alvarado Bagaipo
- Fiel Angeli Espejo Araoarao â€" Gabin


The 18th Great High School Debate Tournament used the Oregon-Oxford Debate Format, with the judging based on content (80%) and delivery (20%). Proposition for the debates:

1) ‘That the Cyber Education Program be Implemented (elimination stage)
2) ‘That the Oil Exploration in Cabilao, Loon be Pushed Through (final stage)

Coordinating the debate were Christine Angeli Racho Libot, president, UPKB-Diliman; Joanna Chaida Arawiran and Richard Lew Jumao-as.

Other chapters supporting the ACADFEST 2007 are UPKD-CEBU, UPKB-ILOILO and UPKB-LOS BAÃ'OS.

Thanks for inviting me as judge in the poster making contest (UPKBLOS BAÃ'OS), essay writing contest (UPKB-ILOILO) and great high school debate (UPKB-DILIMAN).

congrats sa taga wisdom school.  daan ra jud ni sa una, nakahinomdom ko sa highschool pa ko sa trade (now cvscaft)  sila pirmi makadaog.  2nd ra tawn ang holy spirit.  maayo jud tingali na sila ug training da.  akong little bugoy dinha nagschooling, maayo baya pod kay daghan nahibaw an, hapit na ko malupigan, hhehehehhehe joke.  na hala keep on doing the good work na lang.

mahal lagi oi, pero sulit man pod kay makita man.  akong bugoy lagi purya buyag, 7 yrs old pa dili lang kay anad na moininsik, hapit tanang subject man kamao.  ug icompare jud sa grade one sa public, layo raman jud ug biya.  sa highschool pa lagi ko, bilib jud ko anang mga students nila kay kanunay jud moexcel inigdebate, math quiz and etc.

Lagi nah, kon makaya man lamang, maayo jud tong best school pero kami sa Manga Elementary School ra pero maayo bya pod! eheheh

ag ako diay gikan baya pod kog public, sa Totolan Elementary School, kalooy sa Lord, kanunay baya pod ko maapil ug top ten sa BSAT sauna, dean's lister pod usahay sa Divine (apil hambog gamay ani da).  pero sagol sang tinood bitaw, bisan pa ug elementary, ug hait pod ug utok, dili baya pod mapiri.

Korek ka dyan, willmerit!  Naa ra man na sa determinasyon!  Naa bitaw uban chada skwelahan pero di man ka lampos kay naa lay gamay pagsuway undang na!  By the way, asa man nang Totolan?

sa dauis na, atbang sa tagbilaran ang amoa.  unahan gamay sa ila ka dr ug dra timaan, tag iya bitaw na sila sa tamblot pension house.

ben, trust me this is really a great school.  i couldn't believe that my son can speak chinese and learn so many things at such a young age.

i think wisdom now isnt as prestigious as it used to be..  what batch man ka mole99excix?  knsa imoha batchmates?

Go Wisdom! Ya, I attended their pre-K and kindergarten prior to immigrating 'stateside. Always liked the environment there. I still remember Mrs. Stubio, my former teacher.
