Ten college students from the Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Technology and Forestry will get full college scholarship from the First Consolidated Bank, starting school year 2007-2008.

The FCB scholarship recipients are: Anne Pearl C. Apura, John Carlo D. Balag, Maryknoll Barbarona, Syntyche Q. Clamosa, Valeriano L. Labor Jr., Rhenalyn H. Lambus, Joseph I. Saligan, Harlene M. Salpocial, Jemarie O. Sumagang, and Jerome T. Vistal.

The recipients were selected on the basis of their academic records and performance in the qualifying exams given for this purpose. They must belong to a family with not more than P50,000 in per capita income.

The FCB scholarship will cover full tuition and school fees and allowance for books and other incidental expenses of the recipients. FCB has earmarked about P1,000,000 for this scholarship for the next five years.

In addition to the scholarship grants, the FCB scholarship will provide summer job employment to the recipients at the branches or units of the bank when the need arises.

The FCB scholarship are good for four years for those taking education courses and five years for those taking engineering and computer courses.

Since 1989, the FCB Alfonso Uy College Scholarship Program has provided scholarship to financially hard-up but academically-deserving students.

More than 100 recipients of the FCB Alfonso Uy College Scholarship Program has obtained college degrees. Many of them are now teachers, accountants, engineers, and lawyers.

FCB is giving these scholarship as part of its corporate social responsibility, which focused on education, health and livelihood.

The is also bank’s way to thank the people of Bohol for their support in consistently making FCB one of the most successful banks in the country.

Chard, daghan kaayong salamat sa imong padayon nga pag tabang sa mga deserving Boholano students. Maayo ni nga initiative kay empowering. Instead nga mo hatag ka ug bugas or pagkaon nga ma hurot dayon, imo silang gi hatagan ug kaalam, skill and knowledge nga mo lambo ug dili ma papas (life time).

Once again, we the people of Tubag Bohol would like to thank you for the smart help to the Boholano people.
