Diony Castro of Duero Laments Over Corruption Issues
« on: May 28, 2008, 08:09:55 AM »
Looking in from the outside, Boholanos now living in other countries see the urgent change in the outlook of our people and its leaders today.

They said, going into public office should be an opportunity to serve our fellowmen, not for gain or as a business venture.”

“I don’t see why people seeking elective positions spend millions of pesos on elections when they would just be receiving salaries as public officials merely to the tune of P20 to P30 thousand pesos a month.”

Diony Castro, a balikbayan who hails from the town of Duero, sounded-off such call as he lamented on the current corruption issues involving officials in all level of government.

Castro is now a citizen of the United States, living in Orange County, Los Angeles, California. He was a close-aide of former governor Constancio “Nonoy” Torralba.

Here for a brief vacation, he intimidated his interest to go into public service, but not in the way how politicians try hard, spending millions, to get elected.

Without giving a sweeping statement, Castro said that traditional politicians have made public office as a means of business or livelihood.

“There is no argument that after spending millions in an election, they would recover such investments in the corrupt practices known as kickbacks, commissions, commonly accepted as standing operating procedure (SOP).

Arriving here this week with his family Castro had also a golfing buddy, Dr. Vike Bon of Panglao, share the same observation.

“That is the real reason, “corruption” that makes this nation impoverished and overtaken by its neighboring Asian nations. Unless we really fight to stop these corrupt practices, this nation is going to the dogs,” Dr. Vike said.

Asked if they are going to throw their hands in the 2010 elections in their own hometown, Diony Castro and Vike Bob said, “why not?” - The Bohol Standard

The views of Diony Castro regarding Phil politics were all right, the only problem is how to find the best cure of this dreaded corruption industry in our country, i’m not too familiar with Sir Diony but the Castros hails from Itum and Lobogon.

It is heartwarming to learn of compatriots coming home, after a long stint abroad, to share what they have learned and observed in their adopted abodes overseas. It does seem like corruption and patronage politics stink to high heavens in our place. But life does move on, generally with progress here and there, even in what used to be laid-back Bohol. With such social ills, however, we could never optimize our accomplishments in terms of uplifting the general welfare.

Diony Castro would do well, however, to check first if his American citizenship does not disqualify him from running in elective office. It was only very recently that another Boholano public official was dislodged from his seat because he was a permanent resident overseas.

I know him personally, when he was still in duero probably he couldnt remember me but my elder brother im sure he will, diony is from guinsularan but hes always in town playing tennis, mentioning corruption as an issue for your candidacy is not a good idea, every body knows how rampant the corruption everywhere in the country.he must share his views and idea how to improve the town if hes elected as a mayor will do,and a good campaign manager, must be loyal to the candidate..

RE:DIONY CASTRO LAMENTED OVER CORRUPTION ISSUES....
HELLO TO DUERO AND FOREMOST MY FAMILY!
IST, I WOULD LIKE TO BLOW THANKS TO THE ADMIN FOR HAVING THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT TO ALL/DUEROHANONS AND MY FAMILY AS WELL!
WELL, IT'S VERY TEMPTING TO PARTICIPATE THIS DISCUSSION AND PERHAPS EXPRESS MY POINT OF VIEW DESPITE OF MY DISTANCE THAT I'M HERE IN SAN BERNARDINO,CALIFORNIA-
NO DOUBT THAT I STILL LOVED DUERO!, THE PEOPLE !, AND EVERYTHING ABOUT DUERO! REALITY IS- IT TOOK ME TIME TO CHANGE MY CITIZENSHIP! FOR ONE DAY, I BELIEVE THAT I CAN BE OF SERVICE TO THIS TOWN! FOR ME, CHANGING MY CITIZEN TO AMERICAN CAN JUST IMPEDE MY PASSION OF RUNNING FOR PUBLIC SERVANT IN THIS TOWN (ONE DAY)---I COULD HAVE CHANGED MY CITIZENSHIP LONG TIME AGO, BUT I HAVE MY BELIEF THAT I WOULD CERTAINLY END UP IN THE SERVICE OF DUERO MUNICIPALITY_
WHEN I FIRST CAME HERE IN CALIFORNIA LAST OCTOBER OF 1997 ,TO CHALLENGE MY BACHELOR OF NURSING DEGREE IN A WORLD WHERE WE THOUGHT: IT'S AMERICAN DREAM!
YEAH, TEN YEARS! I GUESS.  I HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!
I CAN'T HELP TO LOOK BACK AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY TOWN,DUERO, WHOM I SAW MY FATHER HAD POLISHED!DEVELOPED! AND GOT EXPERIENCED FOR 16 YEARS! AND TO BE AN IDEAL PUBLIC SERVANT!
FOR ME, MY FATHER: FORMER VICE MAYOR PEDRO BAYRON AGUIMAN, 16-YEAR IN PUBLIC SERVICE IS MY IDEAL AND MODEL! HE WAS JUST TOO CLOSE TO PERFECTION AS A PUBLIC SERVANT! I DIDN'T SEE CORRUPTION,OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE GROWN UP TO BE SPOILED BRATS! IN FACT, I TREASURED MY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES WITH MY BUDDIES LIKE INDAY URSOS WHERE WE USED TO GO TO MAHAYAG AND SELL A BASKET FILLED UP WITH FRESH FISH AND SELL TINAP-AN TO ST. JUDE BUS RIDERS! FOR ME- I CHEERISHED THOSE MOMENTS AND I ALWAYS DREAMT THAT ONE DAY I WILL IMPART MY TREASURE! KNOWLEDGE! SKILLS! AND MEMORIES TO ALL DUEROHANONS! IF GIVEN A CHANCE, I WOULD LIKE TO BE MORE THAN WHAT MY FATHER DID AND CONTINUE HIS LEGACY! I KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE VERY SKEPTICAL AND JUST CYNIC! BUT I DON'T FOCUS IN THAT---MY FOCUS IS TO HOW WOULD I MAKE DIFFERENCE TO BE OF SERVICE IN AMERICA AS A REGISTERED NURSE FOR 10 YEARS AND HAVING A PASSION TO BE A PUBLIC SERVANT IN MY TOWN!  I AM NOW 36 YEARS OLD! SO IT'S PERFECT AGE TO BE ACTIVE AND SHARE WHAT I CAN DO! I REMEMBER,BACK IN MY SAN ANTHONIANS PRESIDENCY:1994! I BELIEVED THAT, IT WAS A PHENOMINAL AND MY GREAT ACHIEVEMENT THEN! I BELIEVE THAT I CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT !NOW, THAT I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THERE!
I CAN'T PUT ALL THE ADVERBS AND ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE MY PASSION TO BE ONE DAY REALIZE MY DREAM TO BE PART OF DUERO'S CONTITUENTS AND JUST DO WHAT I CAN---
SOMETIMES, IT'S NOT EASY TO BE A PUBLIC OFFICIAL WHERE THERE IS EASY ACCESS TO INSTANT FAME! MONEY! AND STATUS QUO! THESE ARE OFTEN TIMES MISUSE AND MISUNDERSTOOD!THAT'S WHY FOR EVERY ONE OUT THERE JUST PAY ATTENTION! SEE THE CAUSE AND EFFECT AND BE RESPOSIBLE ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT KIND AND TYPE OF GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC OFFICIALS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IN YOUR MUNICIPALITY! YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE IS THE KEY TO HAVE A VERY SUCCESSFUL AND PRODUCTIVE GOVERNMENT!
THAT'S ALL I CAN COMMENT! AND I HOPE TO SEE DUERO SOON---- WATCH OUT FOR MY OUTREACH PROGRAMS! IT'S GONNA BE FUN! AS ALWAYS, EMMA

FOR MY FORMER CLASSMATES IN DUERO- (ANIBONGAN):ROSALINDA,MARCELLA,ROMULO AND ALL, I WILL SEE YOU SOON AND HOPE YOU HAVE TIME FOR ME THEN. GOD BLESS!-------- UP TO THESE YEARS MY FORMER CLASSMATES IN DCES,HOLY SPIRIT SCHOOL AND DIVINE COLLEGE YOU HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART! I MIZ YOU GUYS! MABUHAY DUERO!

WOW!
WHAT A SMALL WORLD----UNYET WE ARE ALL HERE GATHERED VIRTUALLY!
HMMMMM-WOW! SO NICE FEELING TO HEAR SOMEONE OUT THERE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE INTO!I'M VERY GRATEFUL FOR PUTTING UP ALL THE EFFORTS HERE.  I'M SURE THAT THIS IS JUST A START FOR BINDING THROUGH OUR LEARNINGS IN LIFE,MR ADMIN!
WELL, AFTER READING BETWEEN THE LINES OF YOUR POST, I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE AND BE BOLD ENOUGH TO SAY THANK YOU FOR REMINDING AND ENTICING ME TO GO ON WITH MY PASSION, SIR.  MY PASSION TO CONTINUE MY FATHER'S DEDICATION TO BE OF SERVICE TO DUEROHANONS!  I FERVENTLY HOPE AND PRAY THAT WHEN THE TIME COMES, THAT, I NEED THE TRUST OF THE DUEROHANONS TO PERMIT ME TO BE IN THE TOP MOST OFFICIAL OF DUERO  ONEDAY- -SOON! SO THAT I CAN INTERLINK MY NURSING SKILLS IN CREATING A HEALTHY MUNICIPALITY.
I WANT TO SEE PEOPLE RE-ENERGIZE AS WHAT HAVE HAD MY FATHER STARTED! SO FAR, I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PUBLIC OFFICER IN OUR TOWN THESE DAYS THAT IS SUCH A GIVER AND SELFLESS TO JUST MAKE THE COMMUNITY HAPPY!  HOWEVER, I SAW THAT IN MY FATHER'S TIME: HAVING SPORTS UNIFORM IN BOTH TEAMS AND OTHER STUFFS-
LOOKING BACK THOSE TIME, I KNEW WHY MY FATHER IS DOING ALL THOSE THINGS: HAPPINESS TO SEE PEOPLE HAPPY!
I'M FEELING THAT TOO-  IN FACT, WHEN MY 7-YEAR OLD SON CELEBRATED HIS BIRTHDAY, LAST MARCH 2008---I ASKED MY SISTER,MARILOU TO BE MY EVENT ORGANIZER TO HAVE THE JOLIBEE CREWS IN TAGBILARAN , CELEBRATE MY SON'S BIRTHDAY WITH ALL THE KIDS IN DUERO POSSIBLE AT THE DUERO CULTURAL CENTER-
IT WAS VERY MEANINGFUL FOR MY SON.  AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN- HE WAS ABLE TO BLEND ALL THE KIDS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE!
I PERSONALLY DEDICATED THAT EVENT ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS WHOM DON'T HAVE EVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO EVEN EAT THE JOLIBEE FOOD OR MC DO FOOD! FOR ME, THAT'S ONE WAY OF SHARING MY TREASURE/THOUGHTS ...AND GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL.
ACTUALLY,  I'M NOT SHOCKED, IF LOTS OF RETIRED PEOPLE OR EVEN OLD PEOPLE FROM ABROAD SEEKING FOR HOT SPOT IN OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT! YOU MIGHT KNOW WHY---BUT HEY SIR THIS IS MY CHALLENGE TO THEM THAT, WHY IT TOOK THEM THIS STAGE OF LIFE TO RUN FOR CANDIDACY!? THEY COULD HAVE WORKED SOME YEARS FROM ABROAD AND THEN SPEND THE REST OF THEIR TIME SERVING TO THEIR HOMETOWN- IF SERVICE IS REALLY THE PRIME REASON!   THAT, PUZZLED ME ALOT!

LASTLY, WE KNOW THAT THERE ARE ALSO "RICHLY PEOPLE " IN DUERO. NO QUESTION ABOUT THAT
AND THERE ARE ALSO WE CALLED "SMARTLY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE": THOSE BEARLY JUST GOT DIPLOMA! OR WILL JUST PUT IT THIS WAY----THEY COME IN MANY TYPES AND FORMS OF PEOPLE! MY CHALLENGE  FOR EVERY MANKIND OF DUERO IS HOW WELL YOU KNEW THESE PEOPLE!? THEY POP UP LIKE A "FULL MOON", VERY ATTRACTIVE UNYET
THEY DISAPPEAR JUST LIKE THAT!
YOU THINK THEY ARE WORTH OF YOUR RIGHTS AND VOTE?   I JUST HOPE SO!

RE:DUERO
LAST FEW MONTHS AGO, DUERO JUST CELEBRATED THE FOUNDATION DAY-
IT WAS HIGHLIGHTED WITH FEASTIVITIES LIKE GAMES AND SHOWS!
BASKETBALL GAME WAS ONE OF THE GAMES AND THIS WAS PARTICIPATED BY BARANGAYS' TEAMS-
SAN ANTONIO BASKETBALL TEAM MANAGED NO OTHER THAN THE PRESENT BARANGAY CAPTAIN....
HE WAS RESPONSIBLE TO HAND PICK 40-YEAR OLD AND ABOVE TO MAKE UP THE TEAM-
MY HUSBAND WAS THERE AND I BELIEVE D THAT FOR ENJOYMENT PURPOSES, HE JOINED THE TEAM!
NOW, KNOWING ALL THE CORNERS-- HE SEEMED DEEMED TO SPONSOR THE UNIFORM OF THE TEAM, SO HE DECIDED TO INFORM ME. I ASKED HIM ABOUT THE PRICING,WHERE AND HOW TO GET THAT UNIFORM. HE SAID THAT SOMEONE HERE IN DUERO PUBLIC MARKET(TAILORED UNIFORM SEEMS SPECIAL AND EXPENSIVE FOR ME). BUT THEN, I WAS TRULY MOVED BY MY HUSBAND'S GOOD INTENTIONS AND TO SUPPORT THE TEAM SINCE THEY SEEM HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE UNIFORM- SO I TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT JUST GO AHEAD!
THROUGH THE VIDEO COVERAGE THAT I GOT FROM MY HUBBY, THE SET OF THE BASKETBALL UNIFORM WAS TRULY NICE AND WELL DESIGNED WITH COMPLIMENTARY EMBLEM: P&T TRADING(FORMERLY AGUIMAN'S STORE).
MORE SO, I FELT MOVED AND HAPPY FOR MY HUSBAND'S INTENTIONS TO HELP AND TO HAVE FUN IN MY HOMETOWN-
SO, WHEN THEY FINALLY FIRST PLAY--CHAOS CAME COZ SOME GUYS PROTESTED HIM FOR HE IS A FOREIGNER! BUT, GUESS WHAT, ONE OF THE TEAM MEMBERS:LUCINO(LOU)  SARMIENTO! I WAS SHOCKED! AND HOW BASTARD---AFTERALL, MY HUSBAND BEEN THROUGH/I REACTED A BIT COZ I COULD IMAGINE! IF THAT'S TRUE, THEN HOW INGRATITUDE HE IS KNOWING THAT I SAW HIM IN THE VIDEO FOOTAGE THAT HE WORE THE WHOLE SET OF UNIFORM! AFTER A WHILE, I LAUGHED COZ I SEE PEOPLE!?!  THE WORST THING, I TRIED TO CLARIFY COZ OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED---I LEARNED THAT THE FIRST PRICE  OF THE GAME IS  P1,000!AND SO FORTH- I ALSO CALLED ATTY ESTER(MY COUSIN?)FUNNY THAT I KNEW COZ SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE IS JUST MANDATED TOO THAT THEY HAVE TO GET AN NBI CLEARANCE FROM MANILA THRU THE COMELEC PROTOCOL!/OR SOMETHING
LIKE THAT! IN ORDER TO HAVE MY HUSBAND PLAY!
NOW THIS TIME, I AM REALLY FEELING NAUSEATED/VOMITING! I FELT LIKE I AM GOING TO REVAMP ALL THEIR RULES! FOR ALL YOU KNOW THERE WAS NO REAL WRITTEN RULES OF THE GAME! I WAS SHOCKED!  I KNEW THAT THIS IS NOT NEW TO MY FATHER- WE HAD AGUIMAN'S STORE BASKETBALL TEAM BEFORE!  ONE OF THE PUBLIC OFFICIALS/ORGANIZERS BACK IN TIME WAS ALSO MY FATHER, DESPITE HIS EDUCATION ATTAINMENT IT NEVER HAPPENED SUCH COMMOTION LIKE THIS! I GUESS. I'M CONVINCED THAT I NEED HELP FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU SIR!
WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING--I AM EMBARASSED ON BEHALF OF MY FAMILY AND MY VERY OWN HOME TOWN! MY 54-YEAR OLD HUSBAND IS MORE THAN JUST A VISITOR! HE IS NOT AN NBA STAR!WHAT DO YOU THINK SIR? WHAT CAN I SAY! WHAT A SHAME---------------------

Hi Maam Emma, nalingaw kaajo ko nagbsa sa imung suwat nawa hinuon ahung katogon
many thanks again for sharing with us the unforgetable experience of your love one during the just concluded Duero Foundation Day celebration last month, As to what you have narrated i felt very sad to what had transfired during the course of the games, if it was just for the sake of entertainment then those people in which you mentioned should not have done those actions towards your hubby. Atty Ester is also a very good friend of mine and i do think She can be a good tools in resolving the issues that sorrounds during the course of the game, As to your plans of running a sensitive post in our town it could be a welcome move for us your father was there before and i do believed you can make it. You may just call me Boyet not Admin, bunch of thanks and God Bless us all.

HELLO SIR BOYET!
HAHAHAHA! I SEE YOU HAVE READ MY THOUGHTS!

YOUR FEEDBACK----EXACTLY! IT WOULD BE SO NICE, REALLY NICE IF PEOPLE LIKE SOME OUT THERE WHO ARE "INTELLECTUALLY SMART" LIKE ATTY ESTER WOULD ALREADY MEND OR CUT IT OFF! I BET. SHE KNEW BETTER THAN THAT- OR PERHAPS ANYBODY THERE PROBABLY! HONESTLY, I'M SO VERY DISAPPOINTED INCLUDING HER COZ
I KNOW THAT IT WAS A SILLY IDEA TO HAVE A CLEARANCE!? BESIDES, NO WRITTEN RULES FURNISH BY THE GAME ORGANIZER! THE FIRST PRICE IS P1,000! I COULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD IF THERE IS A "BLUE PRINT":WRITTEN RULES! THAT I CAN CONSIDER LIKE, "POLICY IS A POLICY!".THAT I CANNOT ARGUE WITH IT! WELL, I'M NOT AN IDIOT  NOR ESTER IS! THAT'S WHY I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED ALSO WITH HER!    SO WITH MY DISSATISFACTION,I CHALLENGED MY FATHER AND MOTHER AT THAT TIME------THAT I NEED TO TALK TO THE MAYOR! OR WHOEVER THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON!,(IMAGINE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY NIGHT 7PM-7AM SHIFT WORK), SO FINALLY----THEY DECIDED TO LET MY HUBBY PLAY! WELL, MAYBE THERE WAS A LIGHTNING SUDDEN GIVING THEM A MESSAGE!     OH BOY!

RE: Diony Castro of Duero laments over corruption issues.

First & foremost, I'd like to say hi to all Duerohanons, old friends & my family there. It is a great opportunity to be part of this forum where we can reconnect people from all over the world.

CARINA BERNALDEZ AGUIMAN here from Sydney, Australia. Living in western world is not comparable to living in 3rd world country, however, all the memories that we have still remain fresh and unforgettable that lasts forever.  Our background helps us grow personally & professionally. So, there's no need to criticize our people serving the government. Probably, some are but we should not generalize everyone. My best example is my father, Ex-Vice Mayor Pedro Byron Aguiman. He's true and genuine politician dedicated to serve the people of Duero. I believe he did not make money out of politics. We go this far through our hard work, working together as a team for our living and determination to get where we wanted.

With this forum, I am so proud of my sister, EMMA AGUIMAN NOWELL, for expressing in public her intentions, views and dedication what she wanted in the future. She is so bright and brave to take all the challenge ahead if the plans will push through. I am her great supporter from Sydney, Australia that wants a better DUERO one day too.  We just need a leader like my father!

Hi Carina,

Your name sounds familiar to me. If I'm not mistaken, we are classmates under batch 83 Pioneers of Janssen Heights DWCT.

Hope I'm not mistaken.

Anyhow, thanks for being a part of Tubag Bohol.

Carina, welcome to Tubag Bohol again!  Do you meet with fellow Filipinos there in Sydney?  One of my closest friends is residing there.  She is originally from Cagayan de Oro.

TO EVERYONE: A WARMTH GREETINGS FROM SAN BERNARDINO,CALIFORNIA!
TO THE ADMIN AND YOUR FAMILY SIR, A VERY PLEASANT DAY TO ALL!
TO MY EVER DEAREST SISTER KAREN AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY: HELLO THERE AND WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON-------
WOW! CARR, I AM DEEPLY TOUCHED WITH WHAT YOU HAD POSTED!
THANK YOU ALSO FOR YOUR PROFOUND COMPLIMENTS!-ACTUALLY CARR, I AM JUST THE BYPRODUCT OF THE GOOD DEEDS OF MANY OTHERS SUCH AS OUR PARENTS, MY MENTORS FROM ELEMENTARY TO COLLEGE (ESP MY VERY DEAR FRIEND AND MENTOR,SR TRINIDAD,SSpS-FOR UP TO THESE YEARS, YOU ARE STILL MY LIGHT!),MY BRODS AND SISTERS!,MY BOSSOM FRIENDS IN DUERO(YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE),MY FAMILY(WHO KEPT ME GOING!) AND FOREMOST MY PATIENTS!
MY PATIENTS KEPT ME GROUNDED! IN THEM THEY SIMPLY REMIND ME THAT NO MATTER WHO WE ARE!,WHAT WE HAVE!AND WHAT WE COULD POSSIBLY BE!  WE ALWAYS HAVE TURNING POINTS IN OUR LIVES: WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT!
THAT TURNING POINT IS OUR KEY TO CHOOSE WHAT DO WE WANT IN OUR LIVES! IN SHORT ,THEY ARE THE DETERMINANT FACTORS TO MAKE US CHOOSE BETWEEN GOOD FROM EVIL OR TO SIMPLY BRING THE BEST IN OURSELVES!
THEREFORE, FOR THE HONOR AND GLORY OF GOD- I WANT TO CHOOSE A PATH THAT SPEAKS GOODNESS AND HAPPINESS!
SO FAR IN DUERO,MY HOME, I SEEN MY NEICES AND NEPHEWS DOING WELL! I'M TEACHING THEM ALONG WITH MY SON,DAVID THE RIGHT VIRTUES NECESSARY FOR THEM TO EQUIP WHEN THEY HAVE THEIR PERSONAL LIVES AT STAKE. PERSONALLY, WHAT I ENVISION TO HAVE IN DUERO-- I ALREADY STARTED IT DOWN FIRST IN MY VERY OWN FAMILY! I HOPE AND PRAY THAT WITH GOD'S BLESSINGS, I CAN TRULY SAVOR MY DESIRE TO HAVE THE GOODNESS AND HAPPINESS IN MY HOME,MY FAMILY AND IN OUR HOMETOWN!
TO ALL DUEROHANONS, ALLOW ME TO REALIZE MY BIG DREAM:TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN ME AND TO DELIVER GOODNESS FOR THE HAPPINESS OF ALL!
ACTUALLY,I DO MAGIC TOO! HAHAHA--I REMEMBERED. WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO COME IN AMERICA, SAYING FAREWELL AND HURRAY TO MY PARENTS IN DUERO WAS VERY EXCRUCIATING KIND OF AGONY! I COULDN'T DESCRIBE--KNOWING WHAT WOULD I BE DOING HERE IN AMERICA COZ I JUST HAVE ONLY 1-MONTH TOURIST VISA AND MY FATHER JUST HANDED ME P15,000 ONLY! I WAS VERY AMBIVALENT! MORE SO, I DON'T WANT TO CRY NOR LET MY TATAY AND NANAY WORRY ABOUT ME! IT WAS SO DIFFICULT SEEING US WHAT WE WENT THROUGH-----BUT I CRACKED JOKE TO TAY AND NAY(COZ I SEEN THEM STARTED CRYING), I SAID DON'T YOU WORRY TAY AND NAY WHEN I'LL BE A REGISTERED NURSE IN AMERICA- I WILL BUY YOU GUYS A BRAND NEW PAJERO!! GUSH! YEARS THEN---I MADE IT!  LOOKING THROUGH, I WOULD SAY, MY PARENTS ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE THE KIND OF HEART THAT I  HAVE!   MY PARENTS,MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS,MY NEICES,NEPHEWS,MY ENTIRE FAMILY, THEY KNEW WHAT I HAVE DONE FOR THEM! IT'S NOT BECAUSE I SIMPLY LOVE THEM BUT BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE THEM HAPPY! THAT'S ALL IT MATTERS! BRINGING THE BEST IN YOU AND SPELLING THE GOODNESS FOR HAPPINESS!
I KNOW WE HAVE BACK LOGS IN OUR LIVES AND MISTAKES (SOMEWHERE) BUT THE IMPORTANT IS TO WHAT WE ARE TODAY AND WHAT WE CAN DO TODAY AND TOMORROW! IN MY FAMILY, LET BY GONES BE BY GONES AND START A FRESH AND NEW BEGINNING! TEAM UP WITH ALL THE MEMBERS OF OUR FAMILY AND LETS DO IT! WILL SEE WHAT WE CAN DO FOR THE HAPPINESS OF ALL!
AGAIN, TO ALL MANKIND IN DUERO--LETS PUT ASIDE OUR SELFISH DESIRES AND EGOISTIC ACHIEVEMENTS! IT DOESN'T DESCRIBE US FOR A MACHO MAN!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME FOR READING THIS PIECE!

Baw ani Boyet kung onsa-on ni pag cure. Siguro sa atong generation, un-curable na gyud ni. Pero ang atong hope ang next generation na lang. Our children.

The moment of change is now, teach your children how to build thier future. make a difference, you will be best remembered by your good teachings and examples, your words are eternal to your kids.

All of us will die, but die happy to know that a good future for our children is shining like a beacon.

Macks, I don't want to be hypocrite so I might as well declare that sad to say I can not flatly say that my relatives who are into politics are not practicing this social disease and neither could I say that my immediate family are not accepting money from multiple candidates during elections.  However, I can honestly say I had never accepted money from any political candidates nor would I ever engage myself in vote buying should I become a politician.  But as early as now, I know I will never be a politician.  I am not cut for that stuff.  I'd rather be baking cookies...

Hello, Grazie7y.....i knew some fellow pinoy here. what's your friend name? I did not met anyone here yet that really from our school or familiar mates. Mostly, older ones....i wish i find one!

You know, to join this program is so tempting. It's a great place to have a brainstorming...everyone is entitled to his/her opinion so no hurt feelings. That's life! We need to move on. But, what can we really do??? Since election is fast approaching, Corruption Issue is a great topic to talk about. Thanks for Mr. Diony Castro! Let's be open-minded and let everyone share their thoughts, comments, suggestions & everything. Then, we can come up to a great solution for the best of our people in BOHOL! Not just DUERO folks, right?

Hello Emma,

Nice to see you here often.  We are both in the same beautiful and sunny state of California.

It's good thing that you stood up always for your right and just not let any people, regardless of race, intimidate you, for as long as you are doing your job the best way Pinoys and specifically Bol-anons are known to do.

I look forward to seeing you always here and join our "kukabildo".  I understand there are many Bol-anon in your area, I hope you'll invite them to join our forum here.

Take care.

Please just call me Grace or Grazie. I actually didn't notice the "weird" moon tonight though earlier I noticed the beautiful sunset while the moon was already up in the other side of the sky. I was more drawn to the beautiful reflection of the sunset hidden behind the trees. How's the weather there in San Bernardino?  Here is Sacramento, we will be so hot tomorrow - 97!  Whew, init jamo!
