DIMIAO-Newly-elected officials here took their oath on June 10, in the town's old stone church jam-packed with supporters, families and representatives of the government and private sectors.
Outgoing third district Representative Eladio Jala sworn in come-backing Mayor Sylvia Adame, who has also been a 3-termer mayor and LMP president.
Vice-Governor Julius Caesar Herrera sworn the newly-elected vice mayor, an incumbent municipal councilor, Engr. Danilo Guivencan.
Outgoing Mayor Alejandrino Adame, a lawyer by profession, sworn in the elected members of the Sanggunian Bayan.
The Dimiao Children's Rondalla and Dimiao Cultural Guild welcomed the new set town officials.
Lunch followed at the town's Skills Training and Convention Center.
In her acceptance speech, Lawyer Sylvia Adame pointed out that her three terms will focus on the development of Eco-Cultural-Tourism, and the continuation of all existing projects. Rehabilitation of waterworks system also tops the list. She called for cooperation from the people since she can only provide for the leadership.
It was a sweet victory for official candidates of KAMPI since eight out the 10 posts were claimed by the party including that of the two highest posts, the municipal mayor and vice-mayor.
