Vital road work by asphalt overlay between Tagbilaran City and Corella has started at P17 million.
Additional fund has been earmarked to fully improve the stretch that leads to interior Bohol towns, according to highways people who said the project is executed thru Cong. Edgar Chatto’s effort.
Apart from linking to Catigbian via Balilihan, the Tagbilaran-Corella road cuts travel time to Loboc passing Sikatuna.
The First District congressman has secured P30 million to complete the continuing concreting of the Sikatuna-Loboc road, which is an alternative eco-tourism route. Concreting of Corella-Sikatuna Road is now completed.
The on-going asphalt road overlay from the city to the neighboring town is just one of the latest projects benefiting Metro Tagbilaran.
More significant horizontal infrastructures in the First District are bound for implementation in 2008, Chatto said recently in a radio interview.
Their fund requirements are itemized in the 2008 General Appropriations Act (GAA), which was just finally approved by Congress.
