By Leah Tirol-MagnoJames Soriano Okusa, a Grade 6 pupil of Victoriano D. Tirol-Advanced Learning Center, has recently qualified and been chosen as one of the participants to represent the country in the 2007 China Primary Math Olympiad.
The international competition will be held in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, China on August 10 to 16, 2007.
Okusa is a consistent honor pupil since Grade 1.
For the successive two years in the past, two other pupils of VDT-ALC also qualified for the same international Mathematics competition.
They were Dianne Faith Cirunay and Grace Concepcion Cuevas.
VDT-ALC expressed pride for having pupils who had brought honor to the school.
It only shows that VDT-ALC has provided and maintained high standard and quality education that makes pupils succeed in every endeavor.
On the other hand, VDT-ALC has been accredited by the Bureau of Immigration to accept foreign students.
