(Jiji Press)--Toyota Motor Corp. <7203> slipped to fourth place in new vehicle sales in the United States in May, hit by a sharp output fall on parts shortages after the March 11 disaster in Japan, industry data showed Wednesday.
The leading Japanese automaker was outperformed by all the Big Three U.S. makers in the new vehicle sales market for the first time since February 2006.
