Car thieves continued to strike one after another as another incident of carnapping has been reported in Quezon City early Thursday morning.

Police identified the victim as dzMM radio anchor Carl Balita, who reported having lost a white 2010 Toyota Grandia with plate number ZSA-299 he parked at Torre Venezia in Timog Avenue, corner Mother Ignacia Street.

The incident came on the heels of the recent discovery of the charred body of businessman Emerson Lozano, son of Marcos lawyer Oliver Lozano, near the FVR Megadike in Barangay Mancatian, Porac, Pampanga, less than a week after he was reported missing following a supposed meeting with an unidentified buyer of his Kia Carnival in Quezon City. - Manila Bulletin
