Bangor-area residents can donate toys at Downeast Toyota through Dec. 12 for local toy drive

With the holiday season in full swing, many Bangor-area residents are looking for new ways to give back to the community and families in need – from serving food at local shelters on Thanksgiving to donating toys. Downeast Toyota, a Toyota dealership located in Brewer, will join in this holiday tradition with the dealership’s annual 2019 Fill the Tacoma Toy Drive to benefit the Maine Department of Health and Human Services Holiday Gift Program.
From November 29, 2019 to December 12, 2019 – the dealership will accept new and unwrapped toys for the 2019 Fill the Tacoma Toy Drive. Toys can be donated in two ways. Items purchased at a local store can be delivered to the Downeast Toyota showroom in person at 652 Wilson Street Brewer, ME 04412. Local residents who cannot make it to the dealership, can still participate in the toy drive online by purchasing a toy from the Downeast Toyota Amazon Wish List and having it delivered to the dealership directly. Individuals who choose the online purchase method should choose the Downeast Toyota Gift Registry Address when they reach the Amazon checkout.
With this holiday toy drive, the dealership hopes to fill the bed of a brand-new Toyota Tacoma pickup truckthat will be on display at the dealership. All of the gifts donated from Nov. 29 to Dec. 12 will be given to local children in need via the Maine DHHS Holiday Gift Program. The Downeast Toyota team encourages local residents to join in the holiday spirit this year and donate a toy to help brighten the holidays for local families.
