A key challenge with solid state batteries is the ability to scale its capacity without sacrificing performance. One of KeraCel’s most important innovations is its unique and proprietary battery structure which allows for increasing battery capacity without any impact to performance parameters, in particular, energy density. Additionally, this battery structure is designed to be optimally printed using KeraCel’s 3D printing technology.
On Dec 24, 2019, USPO granted KeraCel a key patent that protects the battery structure IP required in scaling solid state battery capacity, while increasing energy density.
