By Bohol Sunday PostEverything is now set for the May 10 encounter between the Purefoods Hotdogs and the Alaska Milkmen, as part of the elimination round of this year's Reinforced conference of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) at the Calape Cultural and Sports Center.
Calape Mayor Dr. Sulpicio N. Yu Jr. said the game will be sponsored by the BIT Foundation, the Buhing Inambitay ug Tinabangay Foundation, Inc. and co-sponsored by the Local Government Unit of Calape.
He said part of the proceeds will go to the Special Education Funds of the Local School Board (LSB) to defray its scholarship programs for deserving students and salaries of the teachers thereof.
PBA president Sonny Barrios said they stopped playing in Calape during the past municipal administration, following delay in the remittance of proceeds in previous round by the LGU which brought problem with the promoter.
