Calape, Bohol - Police say a 15-year old girl was shot dead on Wednesday night in Sitio Tipkan, barangay San Isidro, Calape.

According to police reports, the teenage girl identified as Noreen Huraño, 15, was brushing her teeth at the back of their house at around 9:30 p.m. when a still unidentified assailant shot her with a 45-caliber round that hit the base of her ear.

The girl died on the spot as police remain clueless on the identity of her attacker as no witnesses have surfaced.

SPO1 Fausto Isao Jr. told Station dyRD on Thursday that based on their investigation, the teenage victim had no known enemies and was described by relatives as a soft-spoken girl.

Police suspect that the girl is a victim of mistaken identity by the armed assailant however they assured to dig deeper into the shooting incident.
