KALAHI stands for Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services. It is a poverty alleviation program of the Philippine Government implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It uses the community-driven development (CDD) approach, which empowers communities to identify their own needs and implement their own solutions.
One of the subprojects of KALAHI is the Rehabilitation of Multi-Purpose Building at Brgy. Rufo Hill in Buenavista, with a total project cost of P781,500.00. The project aims to provide a safe and functional facility for various community activities and events. The project was completed with the participation and cooperation of Rufo Hill Brgy. Captain Gloms Celocia, Barangay Officials, KALAHI Volunteers and Lgu Buenavista KALAHI Team.
The Blessing and Turn-over Ceremony was held on March 7, 2023 to celebrate the successful completion of the project and to formally hand over the facility to the community.
